The honest answers.
Does it work with Kindle?
No — and that’s deliberate. Kindle books are DRM-protected, and Bindlore refuses DRM files on purpose. It converts books you own as DRM-free files (many stores let you download EPUB/PDF), public-domain titles, and your own documents and scans.
Where do my books go?
Nowhere. Parsing, OCR, and skill-building all run inside your browser. There is no Bindlore server for your content to touch. Your files never leave your device.
Do I need an account?
No account, no sign-up. You install the extension and drop in a book. That’s it.
What about the AI summaries — where does my key go?
The AI extras are optional and use your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, stored only on your device. Requests go straight from your browser to the provider you chose — never through us.
What can I actually make?
